The EVO Treatment Program
Seasonal Care With a Purpose Behind Every Step.
EVO's basic fertilization and weed control program follows four core seasonal applications, with a fifth winterizer application when the lawn would benefit from additional density.
Step 01
Early Spring
Prevent & Prepare
Pre-emergent herbicide helps prevent targeted weeds before they emerge, paired with a light fertilizer application as the lawn enters the growing season.
Step 02
Late Spring
Feed & Control
Balanced fertilizer supports continued turf growth while post-emergent broadleaf weed control targets weeds that are actively growing.
Step 03
Early Summer
Maintain & Strengthen
A light slow-release fertilizer or potassium-enhancing formula is selected to support the lawn as summer conditions develop.
Step 04
Late Summer / Early Fall
Recover & Correct
Spot weed control addresses remaining problem areas while recovery feeding helps support the lawn following summer stress.
Step 05
Late Fall
Winterizer, When Needed
Conditional Application
A winterizer nitrogen application may be used when the lawn would benefit from additional density heading into the dormant season.
Not Every Lawn Needs the Exact Same Treatment
The seasonal framework gives the program structure, while actual lawn conditions help determine the appropriate treatment within each stage. The fifth winterizer step is used when the lawn would benefit from it rather than being treated as an automatic application.
A Seasonal Approach
The Lawn's Needs Change. The Treatment Should Too.
Weed pressure, turf growth, summer stress, and recovery needs change throughout the season. EVO's program is structured around those different stages rather than treating every visit exactly the same.
Spring
Prevention & Early Growth
Early applications focus on getting ahead of targeted weeds while supporting the lawn as active growth returns.
Early Summer
Maintenance & Strength
As conditions change, the focus shifts toward maintaining the lawn without relying on the same feeding approach used earlier in the season.
Late Summer
Recovery & Correction
Later applications can address remaining weed pressure while supporting turf recovery following summer conditions.
Late Fall
Prepare, When Needed
When additional density would benefit the lawn, a winterizer application can provide the final treatment of the program.
Additional Lawn Treatments
When the Lawn Needs More Than the Basic Program.
Some lawn concerns require treatment beyond the standard seasonal fertilization and weed control program. Additional services can be recommended when conditions on the property call for them.
Targeted Treatment
Grub Control
Grub control is available separately from the basic treatment program when protection or treatment for grub activity is appropriate for the property.
Not automatically included in the basic 4–5 step program.
Property-Specific Care
Targeted Lawn Treatments
When a lawn develops a concern that falls outside the basic program, EVO can determine whether an additional treatment or service should be considered.
Additional treatment is based on the needs and conditions of the individual lawn.
Basic Program + Targeted Care
The seasonal fertilization and weed control program provides the foundation. Additional treatments are kept separate so they can be used when appropriate rather than automatically added to every lawn.
Complete Lawn Care
Treatment and Maintenance Work Better as Part of the Same Lawn-Care Strategy.
Fertilization and weed control address the health and condition of the turf, while consistent mowing helps maintain the lawn throughout the growing season.
Lawn Treatment
Feed, Prevent & Control
Seasonal applications focus on turf nutrition, weed prevention, active weed control, and recovery needs as conditions change.
Lawn Mowing
Maintain the Growing Lawn
Regular mowing, trimming, and edging provide the ongoing maintenance that keeps the property cared for between treatment applications.
Together
A More Complete Lawn-Care Approach
Customers can use either service independently or choose EVO for both ongoing mowing and seasonal lawn treatment.
Lawn mowing and the Fertilization & Weed Control Program are separate EVO services. Choosing one does not require enrollment in the other.
